    1. this book is not erotica. it's literary fiction, it's not intended to 'turn on' but to make one think. it deals with the slow and subtle disintegration of a relationship, and of the going on's inside the head of a woman who is tortured by guilt. the reason she allows her lover to mistreat her, is not only out of guilt, but because she enjoys it. she is a true masochist, and submissive. she only cares about her lover's pleasure. it brings her pleasure to see him pleased. as the story progresses, [...]

    2. Did not finish. Nonstop sex scenes with humiliation, torture, and rape. I need more story and other things.Jacqueline has vanilla sex with her husband. He doesn’t know that she feels like a slut and wants to be punished. Her lover Sung and his friends provide this. They humiliate, bind, gag, and whip her until she passes out. The whippings cut the skin. The first 28% of the book (what I read) is mostly nonstop sex scenes with Jacqueline being tortured and gang raped. I did not notice any orgas [...]

    3. Chinatown was a very unique book for me. I must point out that this book is not, in fact, an erotica type of story but more along the lines of a revealing into the mind of a masochist in its truest form, as was stated by a previous reviewer. It gives the reader quite an intimate, raw, and rather unhindered look at the workings of BDSM in a marvelously artistic poise.
