    2. This is the sequel to "Hiding in Plain Sight," and it picks up shortly after the first novel ends. Police Officer Ashley Walters is planning her wedding, but a stalker from her past gets in the way. Not only is the unknown stalker a danger to Ashley, but he's hurting the people she loves. And she can't just stand aside and let others do all the work to track him down. Unfortunately, some of her actions aren't helpful at all. This book was a wonderful page-turner, full of suspense. I enjoyed the [...]

    5. Review: Nowhere to Run by Amy Wallace begins with police officer Ashley Walters planning her wedding. Among all the excitement, she cannot seem to shake the feeling that she is being watched. She begins to receive gifts from an admirer. At first she believes them to be from her fiancé, Patrick. She finally realizes that they are from her stalker. 6. This is the second book to the series. The background of the characters was brief and left me a little lost as to how everyone knew each other and what was going on. I would recommend you read the first book, Hiding in Plain Sight, Place of Refuge Series #1, before you pick this one up. Nowhere to Run is a story about faith. Faith is something so many people struggle with. Will we choose to do it all in our own strength or trust in the One who created the universe? This is the battle Ashley Walt [...]

    7. After her fiance, Patrick James, is attacked by a stalker, police officer Ashley Waters agrees to go into hiding in the small Amish town of Shipshewana, along with her friend, Margo, and dog, Chester. But there is danger on the way, and the stalker might have followed them…I found Nowhere to Run slow to get going and difficult to get in to. It assumed that not only has the reader read Hiding in Plain Sight (the first book in the Place of Refuge series), but that I've read it recently and remem [...]

    8. Amy Wallace is an author who doesn't have nearly enough books out yet. I loved her Defenders of Hope Series, and though this series is totally different, I am really enjoying it also. Nowhere to Run is the second in the Place of Refuge Series, and takes up right where the first book, Hiding in Plain Sight left off. By the way, the books should be read in order. In this book, police officer Ashley Walters is trying to plan her wedding while dealing with a violent stalker. I thought the scenario o [...]

    10. What a suspenseful story! You will love the intrigue in this story and how quickly the story moves from one scene to the next. Ashley Walters is a police officer and finds herself being followed. Fearing for her safety she has to leave her day to day life and hide. She chooses a Mennonite community thinking she will be perfectly safe. Will she be safe or will danger follow!I gave this book 4/5 stars. I liked the story and thought it did great at being an adventure novel. I did not think it did v [...]

    11. Ashley and Patrick are looking forward to planning their wedding, until a stalker enters the picture, that is. A counselor and a police officer are an interesting combination in a relationship, and both have some growing to do. Interesting, but difficult to read at times for me because the stalking seems so realistic, impossible to comprehend, and horrifying. Tension, danger, and abuse abound. but, eventually, so does healing and spiritual growth. Mystery aficionados, especially those who enjoy [...]

    12. Police officer, Ashley Walters discovers that someone has been stalking her for the past twelve years. Now that she is planning her wedding the madman becomes dangerous and threatens to kill her loved ones. For safety, Ashley hides in a Mennonite community in Shipshewana, Indiana but danger faces her wherever she goes. There is adrenaline rush on every page and it was hard to put the book down.

    13. Really enjoyed this second book of the series. Had a mystery element and drama but was kept clean and very readable.
