    1. One of the best general interest books I've read on Mahamudra. It's clearly written and free of jargon while still communicating the profundity of this tradition of meditation to people with a wide variety of different levels of experience and background.

    2. Ringu Tulku's commentaries on Gampopa's text are invaluable teachings for the Mahamudra practitioner. This is the second time I've read it, and the lessons are just as powerful.

    3. Ringu Tulku has a straightforward way of explaining Gampopa's text which takes some of the mystery out of it. His explanation of Bodhichitta clarifies what often leads to confusion about the meaning of the term and how it should be held. Probably not the best introduction to Mahamudra, but an excellent supplementary text.
