    1. Priestess of the Fire Temple tells the story of Aislinn. Aislinn is the daughter of an important King in a land where the power of the Druid is declining and the followers of Jesus, the Cristaidi, are taking over the land. Aislinn has been trained as a Druid but must hide her beliefs as she is wed at the age of 14 to a Prince in another Kingdom. The marriage is an unhappy one and Aislinn ends up running away. She has many adventures as she learns to embrace the powers and magic of her Druid trai [...]

    2. For lovers of Druidic culture, this book is a wealth of information. Interwoven in the story is lots of plant and ritual lore (which I love). There is a glossary of Gaelic words and characters for reference but it interrupts the story to keep looking up terms. A good way to learn Druid culture.

    3. This is written by a neo-pagan of the Druid path and is more a teaching story than a real fantasy adventure. In fact, there is very little adventure and much more of an attempt to portray what the Druid way of life would have been like before the Romans invaded. It's interesting in its description of ritual and beliefs although most would have to be based on the modern form of Druidism since real records of practices are only written by Romans. There is more archeological evidence now of how peo [...]

    4. What the??!!! Other than one or two mentions of Ethne this book had nothing to do with the first two books in the series. A little flow from the second book into this one would have been nice. I would have really liked to know what happened with Ethne and Ruahd. The story itself was very boring and the part about Atrach ?? really? cheesy and unrealistic. I skimmed through several of the chapters, and was dying for the book to end. I am wondering if I would have felt different about the book if I [...]

    5. The two previous novels in this vein were fantastic. This one disappointed me. It seemed to me that the author took a sharp turn with no signal, and the result felt embarrassingly awkward. I wanted to like it, but I just couldn't. Perhaps if I hadn't read the first two, my reaction to this one would have been somewhat more favorable. Ah, well.

    6. Loved this book as well. The drama, rituals, love and lessons are like finding a 'lost; ancient parchment in a trunk which you lovingly unfold and read and absorb. Ellen Hopman is amazing how she blends the ancient with the near current and pulls you into each of her tales as though you belong there.

    7. I thought it was o.k, but sometimes too much like information rather than a story. I found myself flicking forward to find the story again. It didn't grip me as I'd hoped, being a Pagan myself and some terminology wasn't authentic which ruined it for me.

    8. the third in the series of a Druid's Tale, although the book can be read alone i highly recommend reading the entire series. Once again she mixes true Druid practices into the book giving you some education of the Druid ways while giving you excellent fantasy to read
