    1. The Dream by Maria Savva is a very good read in my opinion. It tells the story of Lynne, a young woman due to be married to her boyfriend, Adam. After one failed long-term romance, she is hoping that her future will be filled with happiness as Adam’s wife. However, she has had some misgivings for a while - sometimes Adam is very distant - and then the dreams begin. After these dreams, the story unfolds in an unusual way, as we find out what the dreams mean and the impact that they have on Lynne [...]

    2. If you could go back in time and change one thing, how many other aspects of your life and other people's lives would be altered because of that one change? This is just one of the issues that Maria Savva takes on in The Dream. This book really made me stop and think about fate and destiny and all those little signs along life's path that, if we choose to take notice, lead us in one direction or another. This book is romance and mystery with a little paranormal twist. Lynne's character is one th [...]

    3. The Dream (Maria Savva)Lynn keeps having dreams that are warning her not to marry Adam, that it is a big mistake and she will lose her soul mate. That her true love will be lost. Then she begins to have feelings that things are not right. Time is a blur, she is not sure what is real, what is a dream, and what is just a sense of deja vu. It feel as if she is back in timebut she has to sort this all out. She feels if she makes one mistake it can alter her entire future. This book was fascinating, f [...]

    4. We meet Lynne, the main character in Maria Savva's latest novel, The Dream. Lynne is in love with Adam and they have planned to marry. Something is wrong in the relationship. Lynne is not sure if Adam loves her or not. Why does she feel this way? One night Lynne dreams of a man in a bar telling her not to marry Adam or risk losing her true soul mate. Lynne tells her best friend Sandra about the dream, her wedding plans, and not being able to find work after having been made redundant from her pr [...]

    5. Maria Savva's 'The Dream' is in essence a romance but with many twists and unsuspected turns. Lynne has a dream about a warning from a stranger. Who is this stranger? Is there any truth to the warning not to marry her fiancé Adam? Her relationship with him isn't premarital bliss and now she sits wondering if she loves him at all. Why is he so distant? This book is enjoyable from beginning to end. The words flow as Savva explores every nook and cranny of Lynne's thoughts and emotions as strange [...]

    6. This was a page-turner! Lynne was a compelling, well-drawn character in a situation that many people have faced - do you keep looking for that one special true love, or settle for good enough? Mixed in with this story of relationships and finding your life path is an unusual twist. Lynne is haunted by a dream and strong intuition that she may be with the wrong man. Is it normal wedding jitters, has she turned psychic, or is she being guided from beyond? I read this book in two days, every time I [...]

    7. I was intrigued from the start of this story, as it began with a delicious mystery, which continued to develop and then unfold with pleasing affect. A clever tale, where its heroine, believable and likeable, helps the reader relate and sympathise with many of the ‘love’ issues, yet pins us to our seats wondering what will happen next.I thoroughly enjoyed the book and would recommend it to those who are fascinated by that ‘something extra’, that something which allows the imagination to w [...]

    8. This would be a good book to read after you've had your heart broken. I felt uplifted and hopeful after finishing it.From the beginning I was really drawn into the story. To find ones soul mate is rear (and I think that's what we all want). But to have a second chance at it.Not only does she go back in time to "get it right", but she has the benefit of remembering everything that happened in the first time slip.I did feel at times Savva got off track, which some of it didn't make sense. But Afte [...]

    9. With compelling characters and a cleverly crafted story line, Maria Savva’s The Dream is a highly enjoyable tale. It starts off a tad slow, but stay with it and you will be rewarded. Savva’s protagonist, Lynne, comes through as authentic in her moods, emotions, and actions. We feel her frustration as she attempts to maintain a relationship gone cold and root for her as she attempts to unravel the mystery behind the man haunting her dreams. The story is unpredictable and presents enough twist [...]

    10. This book was a light and fast read, but it left me wanting a little more resolution at the end. I enjoyed how Savva encouraged the reader to really think about the significance of dreams, but the magical time travel seemed a bit forced. That said, the characters were believable and I identified with their struggles to find true love and to do what is best for their relationships.

    11. Suddenly, eighteen days before her wedding, Lynne is having doubts about her relationship with Adam. They've been together for three years, but she is beginning to feel that she doesn't love him anymore. Is it all because of her dreams? You see, Lynne has been dreaming of a man who tells her that she's making a mistake; that if she goes through with her marriage, her soul mate will die. When she tells her best friend about her dreams and her changed feelings, Sandra assures her it's just cold feet [...]

    12. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE REVIEWS AT READING, EATING AND DREAMING I WAS BLAIR WALDORFThe Dream by Maria Savva was original but chaotic. This novel was all over the place. It was intriguing and suspenseful, but also confusing and choppy. This story didn’t flow very well. Halfway through the novel, Savva completely changes the rules. It seemed like she needed a way to resolve things so she just added a magical trip through time, but it was forced and perplexing. I was also surprised because this n [...]

    13. (This review may contain spoilers).I have a few mixed feelings about this book. The idea behind it was quite interesting, but there were several things that I didn't like about it.Whole passages of time, which could have shown relationship development, were skipped right over. I also disliked a lot of the characters - and party Lynne herself at times. I really didn't like her parents. The constant amount of flashbacks seemed unnecessary. Instead of a character thinking back on something exactly a [...]
