It's fairly simple but sweet, with nice literary touches that make it far superior to the wildly more popular "Rainbow Magic Fairies" series that I find intolerably dull and predictable.   2. This was one my 7 year old's Christmas presents from granny and I've been reading her a chapter a night this week! I actually enjoyed reading it even though I am not in the target audience. The story of a young fairy's dream to get to Silverlake Fairy School kept us gripped and when I finished tonight my daughter asked me to get her the next one in the series. If you are looking for a book to share with your 6-7 year old or for a slightly older child to read then this was a good one.

  3. I'm an Independent Consultant for Usborne Books & More, and I borrowed this from a friend so that I could read it and get familiar with the series. It seems like a junior version of Harry Potter geared towards girls. It's very cute and now I think I have to borrow the rest of the series from her!

  4. O- It's not just the same old story like Rainbow Fairies. It's more creative than the repetitive formula of that series.
