    1. Although a concise biography, it draws heavily from long quotations that makes it hard to read. It's as if several writers wrote this and thus breaks up the narrative flow.

    2. Charles Spurgeon is an exemplary Christian. He is very much like Paul in that they both preach Christ when they have the chance, and the both worked tirelessly to bring glory to God. Spurgeon did many good things and wrote much. He is an example for Christians everywhere (despite denomination). The book itself is good for education and provoking thought on the Christian life-style. Some further research may do the reader good because the author will speak of other godly men from time to time. I [...]

    3. How can a man who has had no collegiate training become a pastor and create a school to train thousands of pastors? This humble man did.I read this book and was just amazed by the legacy he left. And that he told short but strong sermons when he would preach to his congregation.I think this book is really neat and I hope that people read his story.A man of Jesus who gave his full life to Christ.

    4. I loved this book! But it's abridged. I look forward to reading a fuller biography of such a great man of faith!

    5. I was inspired by the hard work and the unceasing care for "humanity" that seemed to characterize Spurgeon's life.He was a famous man who truly never ceased to care about individual people.
