    1. I love, love, love the moral of this story, which is about sharing with others. I also love how the mother bear's unconditional love was depicted in the drawing but not in the text. I am leaving it to the child to figure out that the pancake, blanket and lantern were there by no accident (and definitely no magical powers involved), although at times I was very tempted to point it out to him. 2. I thought this book was really cute. I loved all the illustrations of the little bear, and liked how it was the illustrations that told a good chunk of the story (like how the mother was involved). This book would be best to use with a younger age group. It does not seem like there is enough meaning or depth in the writing to catch the attention of older students. The simple storyline and dialogue would be more suited towards kids that are still working on their early reading skills.
