    1. As far as overviewing Formative Assessment in terms of its research, practices, and implementation, this book is an outstanding starting point. It provides a lot of information for anyone new to Formative Assessment (which I was when I first began it last year), helping them to begin implementing a system immediately.     2. Excellent book! This gives a great description of formative assessment plus practical examples of how to do formative assessment in your room. Could be called "Formative Assessment for Dummies"!

    3. Lots of common sense in this approach which will help teachers fine tune their work. Picked up some new strategies to use this fall.
