    1. Perfect poolside summer reading. I noticed and was annoyed by a lack of consistency in the kind of biographical content in the second half of the book, though. Once the narrative reached the 2007 season, the remainder of the book was largely indistinguishable from boilerplate sports journalism. Gone were the biographical asides that let the reader know the man. I understand it is difficult to keep up the pace of insights, but I sure would have liked to hear more on how he and the team dealt with [...]

    2. Shane Victorino is my favorite player and when this book came out, I had to get it (he was still a Phillie at this time). I'm really glad I did. This book tells the story of his journey in sports and how he emerged into a successful baseball player and world champion. I think I liked him more when I finished reading than when I began (if that's possible). It's a fun read for anyone who likes him and who likes baseball stories.

    3. Flying Hawaiian is the real dealFantastic reading for sports fans and human interest. The Flying Hawaiian is the real deal. I particularly enjoyed the comments of one of his teachers and that he helped the Red Sox win (another) World Series.
