    1. I was almost through reading this book, just in time to return it to the library, and I received one last holiday/thank you/etc. gift from a friend who bought a copy of this for herself, and a copy for me. I’m so excited. If I can’t get to NYC at least I have access to the food. Even if I get to NYC, unless I can find an apartment there for at least an entire month, I couldn’t possibly eat at Candle 79 more than a very few times. To tell the truth, I was hoping I wouldn’t be wowed by thi [...]

    2. A wide variety of recipes from New York's best vegan restaurant. I've personally made two of their recipes and one of them, the Black Bean and Roasted Poblano Soup, has become a "keeper" recipe that I make once a month. There are so many "dull" vegan recipes out there, but I don't think you'll find any dull recipes in this book. 3. Would love to go to this restaurant and try out the food . Very inspiring cook book - makes me feel I could be a vegan - but that would be hard to do in a house full of carnivores .

    4. Some of the dishes are quite complicated and involved. I guess that's OK if you're a restaurant but not if you're trying to prepare things at home. That said, the restaurants are outstanding and the food is spectacular.

    5. I did not find this to be an easy, go-to recipe book. But some great ideas and worth the effort if you're a dedicated vegan.
