    1. Or as I like to call it, "For the Sake of Angst". Seriously, 85% of this book was angst from either Jessica, Alex, or Cole. Just a fair warning: there will be spoilers in this review. And some swearing. So, this book starts off some time after the last one left off. Jessica and Alex's lame relationship is in some weird limbo state where it's good and bad at the same time. It's good because "OMG we're together and he's so hawt eeeee" and bad because "OMG why won't he fucking marry me does he not [...]

    2. 1 maybe 1.5 starsI opted to go ahead and read this second book in the series, hoping that some of the issues I had with the first book would be rectified. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case, and if anything, this second installment just compounded my earlier dislikes. Basic premise: continuation of the first book. Alex is now an angel. Jessica is something else, saved by Alex's sacrifice. Cole is gone or is heWhat I liked: - Cole. He's a rather fun villain. I like that he was pretty much a cree [...]

    3. In Forsaken, the second book of the Fall of Angels series, life is far from the perfection that Jessica’s life should be. Now free of the nightmares and dating the angel she loves, it would seem that life is as it should be. Only it isn’t. Alex refuses to marry her, now that he’s an angel. She’s certain Cole is still watching her from the shadows. And to top it all off, something very strange has happened to Jessica herself. Add in a best friend that is so insanely jealous of the relatio [...]

    4. The premise of this series is compelling and the author adds just enough twist to keep it interesting. However, this book did not live up to its more promising aspects. 1. Editors are a necessity. Spellcheck is not the same thing. There were so many spelling and grammar errors! For example, there is a world of difference between "tinniest" and "tiniest". My sympathies to all of the readers who felt the same frustration I did. This mistake happens multiple times and irked me each one. There are m [...]

    5. Just like Branded, Forsaken pulled me back into the story and I couldn't put it down! The last sentence has given me a drive to hope time flies by faster so I can get a copy of the next book! Since I finished reading my hardcopies of Branded and Forsaken, I've also bought them as ereads and downloaded them onto my phone! That way I can take Jessica and Alex's story with me where ever I go! Keary Taylor is definitely on her way to big success and making a worldknown name for herself as an author! [...]

    6. Rating: 2.5 starsAfter reading Branded I was anxious to see how the ending worked itself out in Forsaken. There was a lot of mystery and "what's going to happen?" involved in this book for me but the way the information was revealed wasn't paced very well. While Branded was strictly from Jessica's point of view, Forsaken alternated between Jessica and Alex. I enjoyed getting Alex's point of view - he had a lot going on that a reader would not get from Jessica's perspective. Also, it shed some lig [...]

    7. It's between 3-3.5 starsSo basically, the whole book was about her throwing tantrum because she wanted a shiny, little thing and he had his reasons for not giving it to her. Jessica should sing this all the time :P She reminded me a bit of a particular character I must say I liked the first book better than this one. Emily was stupid, Cole was a psycho, Jessica was acting like an emo and Alex, I didn't have problem with him, to be honest. I guess, I'll finish the trilogy tomorrow.

    8. Omigod! Omigod! Soooooo good! I really think that if the next book is like the first two then this will be the first series ever to get all 5 stars since Twilight. Twilight has been the only series that all the books have gotten 5 stars. If this ends up being the next one, then Keary Taylor. I will probably have to stalk you for the rest of my life, read all your books, own them all, then try to know the most about your life then even you do. *Sigh* I think I'm already a stalker. I'm sorry Keary [...]

    9. It’s rare that I actually purchase books due to many reasons. I, often times, wait and think over the idea of spending the money to continue to series. The Fall of Angels series was a no-brainer. After reading ‘Branded’, I immediately went online and not only picked up this book, but I bought the third book and the little 3.5 novelette. I was very pleased with this story and I knew that this book and the remainder of the series would have to be read or I would be going insane without knowin [...]

    10. Something went wrong with on my phone's webbrowser, so I couldn't open it and write a review today morning and all day, but here it is.This book is pretty good, it really held my attention. The plot is great only I didn'tally.? say it lacked something would be more correct. I wanted more passion in Jessica and Alex's relationship(corny!!! :D but true) It was just about how Jessiaca wanted to marry Alex, but he "couldn't" marry her, because he's a freaking idiot. WHY? Because he knew he won't be [...]

    11. Forsaken is the sequel to Branded, written by self-published author Keary Taylor. When I read Branded a little over a year ago, I thought it was pretty original. Jessica has had awful dreams for years where she sees the final judgment of the deceased. When she wakes up, she has the brand of the condemned on her neck. It's terrifying and painful, and she does her best to avoid sleep. Branded ends with Jessica not having to deal with the nightmares anymore, and she's no longer alone.Forsaken fell a [...]

    12. So Forsaken was not as good as I thought it would be, because ending of Branded being so powerful.Jessica and Alex are living together now. Jessica has a job, but she still doesn't feel right. Jessica and Alex fight so much and Jessica distances herself too often. She wants their relationship to work, but she doesn't help with anything herself, she just becomes depressed and mute. (view spoiler)[ The biggest conflict is Jessica wants to marry AlexWELL he is kind of an angel I don't see how that' [...]

    13. This sequel did not let me down. This story picks up where the first book left off. There was a semi happy ever after vibe from the first book but this book squashed that feeling. Alex gave up everything to save Jessica. Jessica doesn't have her nightmares anymore and thinks that life can get back to normal but she soon realizes that Alex is holding back. Jessica finds that she has changed physically and can't really understand what it all means until Cole lets her in on a few things. Alex and J [...]

    14. Need the next bookNeed the next bookForsaken lived up to my expectations! I was super excited to read the second installment of the Fall of Angels series and I need to get my hands on the next book. In Forsaken everything is not what it seems. We finally get answers to Cole's past and you may even see yourself falling for him. I find some of the situations Jessica and Alex find themselves in super predictable, but I still love the book. If you like the Mortal Instruments then you would love this [...]

    15. I thought this was a fantastic sequel, if a little cheesy. Each of the characters received more backstory, which was great. Emily's character, for being in it as little as she is, has a depth that is not often encountered in lesser characters. Her past would make an intriguing short story. Amber's role in the story felt a little forced and unnecessary, though I imagine she will act as some sort of bridge between Jessica and her mother in Vindicated. My only other complaints arise from the gramma [...]

    16. I love the first book and this is still very original but really boring. You meet a new angel and I really liked that and you get deeper into both Jessica's and Alex's family life and also Alex's mind as some of it is written from his perspective. Had a cliffhanger so once the next one comes out I will probably read it.

    17. I feel this book was a bit of a disapointment really. It had all this build up and suspence for nothing and now vendicated is only 230 pages, these really could have been condensed. I feel like the plot is going nowhere and its getting dole hope #3 has more excitement!

    18. This one definitely stuck with me the most. I had to take a couple days to let it sink it before starting the next book. The angels in this book are not what was taught to me when I was younger. Really makes you think! I could write a longer review but do not want to give anything away.

    19. I have to say I enjoyed this sequel very much. The first book I loved but I really enjoyed the delving into the supernatural more this time around.*SPOILERS AHEAD*One change that I noticed significantly from the first book was Cole's back story included in this one. But I also think it couldn't have been told in the first one because as much supernatural as the first one was, it was more the human side of things for Jessica and Alex. So, Cole was immediately the bad guy in the black hat. This on [...]

    20. OH ALEX. WHY ARE YOU SO FREAKING PERFECT?! AND WHY DON'T YOU EXIST IN REAL LIFE?!andOn to my review.Forsaken picks up a few months after the events in Cole's basement. Alex and Jessica are having issues over the whole non-proposal situation, Cole's still missing - and so is Emily. Alex is still fighting to stay with Jessica and not go back to the Afterlife, and to complicate things, Jessica's little sister comes to visit -and ends up staying. So how will Alex & Jessica last through all their [...]

    21. Jessica's life should be perfect. Alex gave up everything to save her life, and her troubles are overbut are they really? In a world where her reality has been turned on its end, secrets are coming into the open and Cole is determined to show her that these secrets mean something but the past and just how they might change her future. And, despite the hope that Jessica and Alex might just be together forever, something dark is brewing beneath the surface, and it's almost like destiny is coming i [...]

    22. Keary Taylor offers a story that will emotionally touch her readers. Forsaken is the second in the Fall of the Angels Series. After loving the first story I was certain that I would enjoy this one as well. Taylor surprised me by crumbing my expectations, and creating a story that was even better. The emotion pushed out in this novel I find to be occasionally overwhelming, but never a downfall of the story. I find myself so enraptured by her story that I feel like a character within the book. Jes [...]

    23. Jessica is angsty: Cole is seemingly gone, Alex is back from the dead, shiny angel feathers and all, but he won't marry her, because circumstances have changed. No real explanations as to why, even though Jessica begs and pleads with him to tie the knot anyway. At the same time, she is tormented by one question: Why did the leader of the damned pick just her. Old letters from Cole's motal life start popping up. They hint of a reason, and Jessica wants to learn more.I can't just help but feel tha [...]

    24. 3.5 STARSI have never been a fan of dual narratives and when I saw that this was the premise for Forsaken I was apprehensive to say the least; and it was exactly as I thought because every time it said Alex’s name I was desperate to skip and go to Jessica’s POV (even though at times her moaning got on my nerves, she complained loads! And while it was understandable I think she went overboard). Anyway, the good thing was that it was easy to distinguish between the 2 voices, even though it cou [...]

    25. Ah, this was not as good as the first one. I had some serious problems with Jessica in this book.Alex traded his life for hers but apparently that wasn't good enough for her. She kept pushing her wants on him. Goodness, she is quite the selfish girl in this book. She wanted to get married so badly but she was very happy to keep important things from Alex. She didn't trust him enough to tell him about all the changes going on with her. She was extremely immature. Her reasons for doing things were [...]

    26. I've had this series on my kindle for quite a while now and finally decided to just read them and get it over with. I think this series has an interesting story line and interesting (but underdeveloped) characters. I just don't feel a connection to them and the connections between them feel quick and forced. I wasn't a big fan of the first book because, well, not a lot happened. It seemed like it was just the same thing over and over but a little different. Oh, and the use of the phrase "all the [...]

    27. 3.5 Stars - Forsaken picks up where Branded left off. Alex is an angel and sacrificed everything for Jessica. Jessica discovers something is wrong with her as well somehow she borders on immortality. As the book progresses, she learns Alex was going to propose, but now can't because of their situation. This seems to be the entire plot/conflict of the book well besides the last few chapters where her BFF is taken by Cole. So, this book was a little disappointing compared to the first. I felt like [...]

    28. I apologize in advance for my lack of detailI read through this one and immediately started the third! Whoops. Picking up four months after Branded, Forsaken delves further into the lives (past and present) of Jessica, Alex, Cole, and the rest of the crew. Jessica's obsession with the proposal is rocking her world, which she already hangs onto by a frayed thread. Knowing that Alex will never truly be hers forever is bad enough, but not to have him for the time they have is her own private hell. [...]

    29. I am not even kidding right now, I was crying when I finished this book! I was so shocked with the ending and how ironic it had to be. To the end of it I almost through my phone (I was reading it on my kindle), because I was so mad/ sad/ frustrated/ and done. But it wasn't because it was bad. It was because it was great, sort-of. You know like the "cool" look of a broken bone or something? Well this was "cool", so I guess interesting in a way. I sacrificed my sleep and sanity for this book. I wo [...]
