    1. While I'd be tempted to give this particular book 4 stars based on my own feelings, my reactions don't count. My 8 month old loves all of the DK Touch & Feel Books! I'm particularly fond of "Bunny" and so is she, but all of these well-padded and sturdily constructed boardbooks engage her as she pats the objects and materials offered. I keep some in her toy box and she always grabs, opens, touches and "reads" them! Who could ask for more? Now if I can get her to pat the animals' fur gently ra [...]

    2. This is a good book to have in a daycare center or a personal baby library. It introduces a few baby animals for the child to identify. The photographs are simple, so the child won't be distracted by a lot of busy illustrations. The photos also include textures that the child can feel and associate with various animals. The book also introduces various animal sounds that the child can learn to associate with the animals, as well.

    3. Little ones will love feeling the different textures to this book. They will also enjoy identifying the animals presented here!

    4. El's starting to get into Touch & Feel books, but had a little bit of trouble with some of the small targets on this one. That'll change with practice.

    5. Unlike most touch and feel animal books, this one offers textures that are NOT all fur. There are sparkles and bowls, and many other things to touch. There are animals to touch, too.

    6. Some of the animals really don't have a touch and feel portion, but he liked it well enough and will only like it more as he gets older.
