    1. Nicely laid out, interesting selection of mostly familiar and some iconic advertisements. But the quotes peppered through? Smacked of naïve old boy's club nostalgia. Far too much sexist and racist content without enough context about the power that these images held for people, the harm it caused, etc. I found the quote by David Ogilvy about never running an ad you wouldn't want your family to see particularly laughable when two or three pages later, ridiculously sexist and objectifying ads wer [...]

    2. Loved browsing through this looking at the graphic designs, the social attitudes, and the technology. There's nothing like reading about the phone company's new ability to handle 11,000 trans-Atlantic calls at once to underscore just how much the world has changed in 50 years.

    3. Another great reference for ads from that era. Interesting to see actually how things have changed but how so much hasn't :p
