    1. Wonderful introduction to political philosophy. I find myself reaching back to whenever I'm in need of a reference.Ebenstein & Ebenstein begin with an introduction to each of the thinkers they present by situating them in an historical context and exposing some of their fundamental ideas. 2. I bought this book when I was a student at Tulane University majoring in political science. It was not listed on any course syllabus, but I wanted to read it anyway. Over the more than three decades since that time, I have read and re-read this book. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a good anthology of essays on political theory.

    3. The holy book for political science. Gone through this back in college. I so wanted to read this over and over again, only that I don't have a copy right now. The local library don't have a copy:(

    4. A great way to get exposure to many of the political thinkers from Thomas Aquanis to Maceavelli, they are all in this book.

    5. I read it as a school requirement, and if you've seen the book, damn it is long. But on the bright side, it gets your mind going. It gets you thinking critically about things, analyzing the times now compared to before. It's a good source on trying to find out why our politics today is so.

    6. Although written in the bias of William and Alan Ebenstein, this textbook is informative as an all-encompassing view of the history of politics.
