    1. Eaters is a post apocalyptic tale of the dead returning to life to feast upon the flesh of the living. Of course, that's the premise for thousands of zombie stories, so what is it about Eaters that differentiates itself from the rest of the pack? Not a whole lot, really. When Eaters begins, Cheryl and her fiance, Mark, are returning from a camping trip when the radio offers news of a possible epidemic. Resuming a normal life is short-lived, however, when they witness firsthand the devastation caus [...]

    2. Eaters kept me up all night so I could finish! It wasn't really so much that it brought much new information to the zombie genre it just was really good with the twists that would get tossed at ya especially towards the ending. I must say I felt like Cheryl was a bit of a ditzy broad to begin with but once she saw and was able to to wrap her mind around the fact that the dead were coming back to life and they wanted her for a snack she toughened up pretty darn fast!(view spoiler)[I am a bit conf [...]

    3. I can't tell you how much I loved this novella. It was awesome and scary and icky. I think Stephen King fans would love this one. I can't wait until the next in the series comes out!

    4. Very short story (49 pages on the nook) but very good! kept on edge the whole time and im hoping for a sequel!!

    5. Title: EatersAuthor: Michelle DePaepeRating: UnratedSummary: Cheryl and her fiancé Mark, a soldier recently returned from Afghanistan, are on their way back to Denver after a reunion camping trip in the mountains when they receive word an epidemic is spreading like wildfire. But this is no ordinary virus. Those infected, dubbed “Eaters,” are reanimated corpses whose lust for rotten food quickly turns to an insatiable desire for human flesh. When Mark becomes infected, Cheryl is forced to vent [...]

    6. The Eaters is a zombie novel with breathtaking speed and unforgettable characters, as horrifying as a vintage Stephen King novel but with new and even better buckets of gore heaped on top. Michelle Depaepe doesn’t just visit the zombie genre, she smashes into it with a roaring Harley motorcycle, guns blazing. The heroine, Cheryl, is a timid insurance office worker on the way back from a weekend camping trip when without warning the infection begins and the heroine is caught up in a battle for [...]

    7. I have currently about 100 free books on my Kindle. Some of them are pretty poor but others turn out to be little gems. 'Eaters' is one of the latter if you're a fan of gruesome zombie action! I never used to be interested in this genre. However recently - and I totally blame being hooked on 'The Walking Dead' for this - I've become strangely fascinated by tales of zombie apocalypses. This one focuses on one ordinary girl, Cheryl and her struggle to survive on her journey to find her family.

    8. I fell into this book from the moment that I began to read it. I could not put it down. Character growth was awesome. The only thing I found questionable was the timing. I was never sure what the time frame was, such as how long the characters actually travelled.Still an amazing book, and I look forward to reading more.

    9. Excellent zombie apocalypse horror told from the point of view of a regular jane doe who lived a happy life and about to be married to her fiance and suddenly the world turned into something completely different. The author's writing style was lucid and well paced. There was never a sense of safety as we followed the heroine who grew from a damsel in distress into an undead fighting machine.

    10. An unoriginal premise, but story in interesting just the same. If you love zombie stories, give it a try. It was interesting enough that I would like to read the next installment. What will we find out about the military and government involvement in the virus that creates the Eaters?

    11. Eaters was a decent zombie story that took the "infection" route of zombies. The story had some nice little twists and the ending was alright, but I think i was expecting a little more action at the end then what was given.

    12. An average zombie book. Not bad overall with a nice twist at the end that I had been wondering about. It was obvious that they would be reunited and with the fiancé's explanation of the virus I had wondered. I did like the zombie bait stations, good idea there.

    13. Great book! This lady writes a very creepy, tension filled zombie story. There were several chapters that literally had me filled with dread as I read them, and that's a wonderful thing when you're reading zombie fiction. this is one of my favorite novels in the ZA genre
