Join in the '120 days of Christmas'
Don’t panic, you’re not being asked to learn a very long song! However, we are offering you the opportunity to take an ‘upside down’ look at Christmas without the pressures of time, excess and consumerism.
In Scotland we are still rediscovering Christmas. After the Reformation, the celebration of Christmas was frowned on by the Kirk as a ‘Popish festival’. Mass was banned, including ‘Christ’s Mass’. Until the 1960s Christmas Day was a normal working day. This year, as part of that rediscovery, we want to take a longer look at the moment when God was born in Jesus and turned our world upside down for ever.
